Artist’s description:
The Lovers Are the Audience Who Watch is a three-hour film created from fragments of popular music videos, documentaries about famous Western philosophers, and other videos that detail a cultural fascination with public figures like A$AP Rocky and Michel Foucalt. This print is a screenshot from The Lovers Are the Audience Who Watch––a moment from A$AP Mob's "Feels So Good" music video with an added caption: "I held the truth in my hands"––asks us to consider the process of collective meaning-making that happens when we watch popular media.
