Artist’s description:
As a gesture of connectedness I will float 25 silk lanterns (one for each paused week) into the river across from my home. Inside each lantern I have transcribed the words about this time from 25 participants around the world. The imagery on the silk is from satellite views of my home and studio. 25 lanterns retrieved after the performance.
This project has continued. I am lighting lanterns every night on the shoreline of the Swartekill creek just below my studio and making a new lantern every week.
