Artist’s description:
How can fashion represent this age of social distancing? For a virtual garden party, I designed a dress that sums up our current moment, where we can pick and choose the aspects of ourselves that we want to show on screen, along with those that we keep out of view. The dress is missing a back entirely, emphasizing the fragmented quality of the self and social life during lockdown, and our collective nostalgia for full outfits and full event spaces.
