Artists’ description:
Reposition Relocation is a digital collage diptych inspired by histories and materials in and around the Custom House in Sag Harbor. The Custom House is one of three interpreted historic houses owned by Preservation Long Island. Collaging elements from archival images, photos of youth-led protest movements, and technology-based visual culture, Reposition Relocation is inspired by the invisible processes and aesthetic decisions of makers and preservationists as well as connections between materials, craft, physical space, and human gesture.
This work features photos created with East End Against Hate members: Brontë Zunis, Lateshia Peters, and Brooke Canavan and East End Against Hate.
