Artist’s description:
Over the course of the pandemic, the artist lost access to her studio and began a series of Polaroid emulsion lifts in her kitchen, using photos of botanic life taken on her daily walks. The resulting images toggle between references to a lost past, through the inherent nostalgia of the medium, and haunting visions of an underwater future. For Art Off-Screen, every evening at 9PM a live feed of the artist's working hands, separating the emulsion from its Polaroid casing and transferring it to paper, will be projected on a wall beneath one of the windows of her home, and viewable from a publicly accessible courtyard.
